In early August, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that one of his daughters had received a dose of the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine. Whether or not his daughter received a the dose has not been independently verified.
Western medical experts and virologists have expressed concerns that the Russian vaccine has not received adequate testing.
However, there is no evidence that Vladimir Putin’s daughter has died from the vaccine or any other cause.
